The total computing power in the world = your brain
Researchers have been looking at the total amount of information sloshing around the planet. Taking a twenty-year period into account they’ve rather dilligently catalogued the majority of forms information can take; computers, games consoles, film, vinyl records, blu-ray, memory sticks, books, cd’s and what not.
A number of their findings are remarkable; not least that if all computers in the whole world were running simultaneously, this incredible amount of information movement would be of the same magnitude as one rather familiar object running at full capacity… the human brain.
